Unhappy XP points

I have played for about 60 hours to be the proud parent of a level nine warrior, since then everything I kill gives 0 xp. I have tried disconnecting, rebooting, going to towns, nothing is working. By now I should be over level 10. Is my avator brocken, or is there something I don't know about. Quests rewards are the only thing that is giving me xp. I really hate to think I have to start over and worse that it will just happen again. Any ideas? Tech support said they could not help me with game play questions, seems more like an engine bug, hope it is something designed in the game that I am unaware of... crosses fingers.

Please help.

Defiant

What level enemies are you killing? If they're too low, you just won't get anything from them. Go questing. Kill some charr. Kill some bosses.
Hope that's the problem.

Yeah, it sounds to me like nothing is wrong. If you are killing enemies several levels below you, it's normal to get no experience. You just need to progress to a point where there are harder enemies. No need to worry.

Always try to fight equal or higher level enemies than yourself.

This is the games way of saying "if you out on your own, or in a party fighting weaker enemies, you don't get rewarded, but if you and/or your party take on tougher monsters, we might cut some slack"
